6:00 pm — Pit stop at a nice rest area with a food court and big liquor store to get gas, food, booze, etc.

7:45 pm — Gas/bathroom pit stop at a local curiosity, proving the existence of aliens

8:40 pm — Arrive Inn at Burklyn

Do you need snow clothes? Go to the Burke Mountain Hotel's front desk and check out what you need. We made arrangements with them to have our extras and extras from our Burke friends on hand for those of you from warmer climates.

Rent a bike in nearby Littleton, VT at Littleton Bike and Fitness. Then, visit the Kingdom Trails – the trail map is here.

Snowshoeing

If you want to snowshoe on trails, consider the Dashney Nordic Center. (Burke Mountain runs a shuttle there.) Or, if it's after the lifts close at 4pm, you can snowshoe on the ski trails or at anytime in the woods right around the hotel. Go to the front desk to pick up the snowshoes as well as any other gear you might need, like gloves, snow pants, etc. We made arrangements with them to have a check-out system. Note, you cannot rent gear at Dashney on Friday, as their rental office is only open on the weekends. However, you can take snowshoes from the Burke Mountain Hotel's front desk and snowshoe on the trails.
