How can I RSVP?
Click on the "RSVP" menu and follow the prompts.
What are the lodging options? Can I book a room now?
We highly recommend the Burke Mountain Hotel, where we have reserved a block of rooms with a 15% discount. There are also a few rooms available at the Inn at Burklyn. As a third option, The Wildflower Inn, is nearby and a great option with a really good restaurant. See the "Travel" page for details.
Do you want to know if we want to ride one of the vans from Boston Logan to Burke now?
That would be helpful! Let us know through your RSVP by going to the RSVP menu, searching for your invitation and responding to prompts. There are questions within the RSVP process about the vans.
Do I need to let you know about my travel dates and events I'd like to participate in?
Click the RSVP tab to let us know your plans and preferences for events.
How cold will it be? What type of clothing will I need?
At this time of year in Vermont, it may be mild (in the 30s or 40s during the day) or very cold (in the 10s or 20s) and may snow. Or, it could just be slushy. New Englanders will be quick to tell you there's no bad weather, only bad clothing choices, so please plan ahead. Layers are your friends as you will be going in and out of places that have roaring fires. (Be sure to check out the Bear Den at the Burke Mountain Hotel.) You'll want to remove outer layers in those situations. Footwear is important, so the best thing you can do is bring a pair of snow boots and thick wool socks. We have a lot of everything, so reach out to us if you need something. If you are from the south and need further education on surviving the cold, just reach out! You WILL be okay.
What kind of clothing and gear can be rented onsite in Burke?
The short answer is, you can rent any kind of gear you'll need in Burke. Check out the "Things to do" page and each activity indicates if you can rent gear. You cannot, however, rent ski pants and jackets. We have a lot of options that you can borrow, so reach out to us directly and we'll see if we can hook you up.
Can we bring the kids?
We do not discriminate against the young. Please bring them if you would like. Burke Mountain has a great learning area for all ages. Christina spent her entire first season riding the Magic Carpet (think conveyor belt for humans on skis) and the J bar in the learning area.
Is there a pet friendly hotel on the list of lodging options?
Yes, the Burke Mountain Hotel is one of the hotels on the list of options and is a pet friendly hotel. We would need to know if you are bringing a pet in advance.
How can I let you know about my dietary needs (or any other needs)?
Go to the RSVP menu and let us know there when prompted about dietary preferences.
